GP Academy

Learn how to ride top-of-the-line road race training motorcycles on our private 14-turn kart track. Our GP School is equipped with a selection of Ohvale motorcycles, and our

experienced instructors can teach you the skills you need to go fast safely. We provide instruction for all skill levels in a controlled environment that allows students to practice and improve their riding. We have courses for all riders, from novice to experienced, who are looking to gain confidence and consistency.

INTRO TO ASPHALT

(LEVEL 1)

3-Hour Course

  • Learn how to select proper size gear and how to wear gear properly
  • Discuss and review track rules, flag meanings and track etiquette
  • Safety information training
  • Learn the basics of motorcycle controls
  • Practice introductory stop/go exercises and gain confidence in basic operation of motorcycle
  • Begin making complete laps during
    on-track sessions
  • Review your riding in our classroom to make real

    • time improvements in confidence and speed

TAKING IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL

(LEVEL 2)

3-Hour Course

  • Work on lines and flow of the track
  • Learn the fundamentals of braking zones and corner entry
  • Practice clutch starts
  • Learn when and how to shift gears safely
  • Begin to understand trail braking
  • Learn foot and body positions and understand how they affect handling
  • Work on decreasing lap times and increasing confidence to advance your skills

3-Hour Course

  • Advanced course for riders actively doing track days or club racing
  • Custom-tailored to address areas where riders seek improvement
  • May include pro-level guest instructors
  • Identify your strengths while improving where you struggle

Our 5,000 square foot garage is under construction now and is located at KartMoto, a state-of-the-art karting track Motorsports Ranch in Cresson, Texas. This track, perfect for karts or minibikes, adds the fun that we have at our home track is a great activity for the whole family.
